An eCQM Leap: POM's Strategic Transition into the Future

Safe to say, very few ACOs were ready to make the evolution to eCQM reporting when CMS announced their plans to sunset the Web Interface measures.

The transition won’t be simple for any organization, but how about an organization with over 6,000 physicians spread across hundreds of practices with dozens of EHRs?

If anyone had a reason to bury their head in the sand, it was Physician Organization of Michigan (POM) who had more data to aggregate than most ACOs. But instead of head shaking and hand wringing they got to work establishing a vision and implementing a strategic plan that would position them to meet the CMS eCQM reporting mandate.

In this NAACOS-exclusive webinar, Tate Rugenstein, MPH and Mary Margaret Dunneback, MPH, who were instrumental in POM’s eCQM journey, will review how they made the transition and are able to view aggregate eCQM results across their many practices. You’ll hear first-hand about what it took to get all practices generating a valid QRDA I file and the challenges they encountered while gathering data from multiple EHRs. Ken McCormick of Medisolv will also review how Medisolv worked hand-in-hand with POM to enable eCQM reporting, and together, they’ll talk through the valuable lessons both the vendor and the ACO learned during the process.

Speakers: Mary Margaret Dunneback, University of Michigan Health-Sparrow; Ken McCormick, Medisolv; Tate Rugenstein, Physician Organization of Michigan ACO;
